[Kim
Pullen, Thomas Carmody, Bob Sanderlin, Rowanne McAllister]The
Broadmoor Library garden plot has been accepted as a project for the
Rivercities Garden Club. At the June meeting of the garden club Mr.
Thomas Carmody, City Councilman Dictrict C placed
the commemorative Garden Stone in our club's newly adopted flower
bed in front of the entrance of the
library. Library
representative Kim Pullen
accepted the assistance of the club. Channel 3 TV came and recorded
the affair. We honored the kick-off of "National Gardening
Week" (June 4th-June 10th) in our cities, states and all of America.

Because
of the problems with the parking at the Barnwell Center, Bob
Sanderlin and Rowanne McAllister explored new places for the meetings
for the club. Most of the places were expensive. They found out that
the Broadmoor Branch of the library had a very nice meeting room
which has facilities for food; and the meeting room was free to use.
Bob noted that National Garden Week ocurred on the same day as the meeting and approached Betty Cannon, the director of the library, to offer the club's assistance in the maintainence of one of their garden plots as a project for the club. Kim Pullen, the assistant director for the library was given the responsibility to interface with Rivercities Garden club in the implementation of the garden maintainence.
Who is going to take the responsibility for the maintainence of the garden?
